Description

The purpose of this research was to create an artificial neural network (ANN) that would predict the energy usage of a Wastewater Treatment Plant given it's influent. To do so, recorded influent and energy usage data were provided by the Wastewater Treatment Plant, which were then used to train an ANN to see if there was a strong relationship between the values and predict the energy usages when given an influent value. The result of the research was with the use of the neural network a strong relationship was shown between the values and an energy usage could be predicted.
