Description

The Industrial Assessment Center is one of the 32 other centers in the United states and the only one in the state of Wisconsin. The IAC with the leadership of Professor Ryo Amano, succeeded in providing more than 153 assessments to different industries since 2012. I have phad the chance to cooperate with more than 19 assessments, in which I got several gains. Experience in the field of energy is one of the gains that I have received in the 22 months of work and the discipline of work. Connection is another huge profit from the experience at the IAC where it permits me to meet employers in the industries, faculty and stuff at our university. Also, the IAC is a chance for me to practice what I have learned in theory in class. The work we do At the IAC is providing assessment for energy auditing to small and medium industries with no cost. The IAC team has to visit the company’s plant, warehouse, and or the offices to seek any potential energy savings. The company receives a follow up report that contains all the details of savings in their company including the change in the machine’s behavior, implementations or changes to make the machines spend less energy. The concept used in this work is energy related mostly in mechanical engineering and contains some knowledge of every other field such as electrical and industrial engineering. Therefore, it is a right place to be in as an intern during the undergraduat period.
