When Words and Images Matter: Challenges to our time, A Conversation with Christiane Taubira and Raoul Peck
Files
Description
For Former French Minister of Justice Christiane Taubira and award-winning film director and writer Raoul Peck, words and images matter for how they frame and cast the stories that determined and promulgate the systemic inequalities and injustices that divide and challenge our societies today. Their conversation continues the discussions about present day legacies of slavery, racial discrimination and hegemonic power relations raised by Peck’s documentary I Am Not Your Negro and in texts by Taubira, including Murmures à la jeunesse, and Nous habitons la terre.
