The current study aims to understand the background and credentials required of individuals to become effective venture capitalists. In the current market of various startups often backed by venture capitalist funds, the current study provides an insight into the qualities that comprise of a successful venture capital. The research is conducted through allocating data through online databases regarding current venture capitalists’ educational and career background. In addition, data is organized and presented trends are examined. The implications of the study reveal the relevance of educational and career paths within the venture capital field, which heavily focuses on high potential or high anticipated growth industries. These industries include and are not limited to medicine, technology, and biotechnology- fields that ultimately shape a society’s progression and quality of life.
