Description
Transforming Justice aligns with Bader Philanthropies’strategies by promoting equity and social justice for low-income Milwaukeeans and youth. By drawing attention to the ways in which mass incarceration contributes to health inequities, we aim to transform conversations and research to foreground social justice, and thereby promote different kinds of solutions that have the potential to promote shared security and well-being for all of society. The centerpieces of our collaborative approach include community forums and the development of counter media – creating documentary films, collaborative media, mapping, and digital archives – to promote critical discussions and action around questions of mass incarceration.
